Personal Debt – What Is It?
Personal debt is debt made on your personal name as opposed to debt owed by your business. You can get debt review assistance for personal debt management. The debt must thus be in your name. An exception is a sole proprietor where the debt can be considered a personal debt since the person and the business acts as one legal entity. If two persons are married within community of property, the personal debt of one is also the debt of the other. If one then considers debt review as an option to pay off debt, both partners will undergo debt review. The personal debt of a spouse not married in community of property doesn’t affect the credit standing of the other.
