National Credit Regulator (NCR) Explained
The National Credit Regulator known in short as the NCR, came into being as a result of the National Credit Act No. 34 of 2005, and has the responsibility of regulating the credit transactions and industry of the country. The National Credit Regulator does research, provides information, educates, and is involved in policy development and investigations of complaints regarding creditors and also debt counselling companies. The National Credit Regulator furthermore oversees the registration of financial credit service providers and debt review companies as well as debt counsellors. If a person as such wants to know whether a debt counsellor is registered with the NCR, one can simply view the list at their website or contact them directly.
