UNISA is a flexible, reputable, comprehensive and accessible Open Distance Learning institution. They offer short courses, courses and programmes in financial accounting and bookkeeping. Short courses and courses have a six months (or 1 semester) duration, and programmes have a 1 year duration. On successful completion of courses, learners are admitted as members to the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).

Registration requirements:

  • Short course in Bookkeeping to Trial Balance (must have Grade 10)         
  • Short course in Payroll and Monthly SARS returns (Grade 10)          
  • Course in Computerised bookkeeping (Grade 10)
  • Course in Business Literacy (Grade 10)
  • Course in Financial Statements (Grade 11 or previous 4 courses)
  • Programme in Cost and Management Accounting (Grade 11 or previous 4 courses)
  • Programme in Income Tax Returns (Grade 12 or previous 6 courses)
  • Programme in Business Law and Accounting Control  (Grade 12 or previous 6 courses)

    I just want to find out from you guys that is it allow when a UNISA staff send feed back E-mail that a student reported complain must take his CV to mental AFFAIRS. I think that it is a student to complain to make an query if there is wrong done.
    We all people and have the same rights here in South Africa regardless of whether you are black or white. No one can change some one’s personality and most cases one don’t to be told when he is not right person to that person. Please, every one must leave or avoid the person on time as some tend to be like an infection to other people. Some are too resistance even during the obvious cases. FROM: 43718957

    Hi i obtain a qualification in Cost and Management Accounting and completed the course in June 2007.According to SAIPA the qualification was phased out in 2004 meaning that one had time till end of 2007 to complete the course.I also obtain qualification in H/DIP in Taxation in 2005.According to SAIPA i do qualified to write the final exam as an Accountant as i completed the course before end of 2007.To whom can i talk to get clearity on this.Must i register somewhere and to whom can i talk i.r.o this matter???
